You see, that Yves Saint Laurent, or what you call it, YSL, that YSL ENVELOPE BAG, it’s somethin’ else. I hear folks talkin’, sayin’ it’s fancy, real fancy. They say it’s cheaper over there in Europe, like 20% cheaper in some place called Paris. I don’t know nothin’ about Paris, but cheaper is cheaper, I reckon.
And this here YSL ENVELOPE BAG, they got it all over the internet. You can buy it from their own website, some fancy place online. They call it the official website. Sounds important, don’t it? I guess if you got the money, you can get it delivered right to your door.
Now, this bag, it ain’t just any old bag. They say it’s a luxury, a real luxury bag. I seen pictures, it’s all leather, shiny and new. They got these little stores, they call ’em specialty stores, I reckon that’s where you find these things. Not like our general store back home, no sir.
This YSL, it’s a big deal, I guess. They say it’s up there with the best of ’em, like that Louis Vuitton. Big names, big prices. I don’t know nothin’ about fashion, but I know these names mean somethin’ to some folks. They compete with each other, these big fancy brands. Like two roosters in a henhouse, each one tryin’ to be the top dog.

They say this YSL, it was started by some fella named Yves Saint Laurent. Him and his partner, way back in 1961. That’s a long time ago. Now it’s this big company, sellin’ all these fancy things. I guess they did somethin’ right, didn’t they?
You can find these YSL ENVELOPE BAG at Neiman Marcus, too. That’s another store. They got all kinds, not just this envelope one. They call ’em chain wallets, crossbody bags. I don’t know what all that means, but it sounds fancy.
This other place, FARFETCH, they got these bags, too. But they’re pre-owned, they call it. I reckon that means someone else had ’em first. Like hand-me-downs, but fancy hand-me-downs.

If you got the money, and you like that sort of thing, I reckon it’s somethin’ to see. Me, I’m happy with my old purse, but I can see why some folks like these fancy things. They sure are somethin’, ain’t they?
I see those young girls carryin’ these YSL bags around. They’re pretty, I’ll give ’em that. And this envelope one, it’s kinda cute, in its own way. Not practical, maybe, for carryin’ your groceries or your feed, but cute nonetheless. I guess if you’re gonna spend that kind of money, it better be somethin’ special, right? And they say this one is. They say it’s a classic. Means it’ll never go out of style. I don’t know about that, but that’s what they say.
I reckon there’s a whole world out there that I don’t know nothin’ about. A world of fancy bags and fancy names. But that’s alright. I got my own world, and it’s good enough for me. Still, it’s interestin’ to hear about these things, ain’t it? These YSL ENVELOPE BAG, they’re like a little window into that other world. A world of luxury, they call it. A world where a bag can cost more than a month’s worth of groceries. Ain’t that somethin’? And people buy them, from those YSL specialty stores, ain’t that somethin’?
