Okay, so, I’ve been wanting this YSL JUNE BOX BAG for a while, you know? It’s just so classy, so chic. But the price tag? Ouch. So, I thought, “Why not try to remake one myself? A little DIY project, right?”

First, I did a bunch of research, you know, watched some videos online, read some articles about this bag and the brand YSL, which, by the way, used to be called Yves Saint Laurent. They changed it to Saint Laurent in 2012. Learned that this brand is pretty fancy, uses real good materials like leather and silk, and that’s why their stuff is so pricey.

Then, I started looking for materials. I wanted it to look as close to the real deal as possible. I mean, if I’m gonna do this, I’m gonna do it right. I found some pretty decent leather, not as fancy as what YSL uses, but it’ll do. And some nice fabric for the lining.

Next up, the actual making of the bag. This was the hard part. Lots of cutting, sewing, and gluing. There were moments when I thought, “What am I doing?” But I kept going. I followed the patterns I found online, and slowly but surely, the bag started to take shape.

  • I started by cutting the leather according to the patterns.
  • Then, I sewed the pieces together. This took forever, by the way.
  • After that, I worked on the lining. That was easier than the leather part.
  • Finally, I put it all together. And voila! My very own “YSL JUNE BOX BAG”.

It’s not perfect, of course. There are some flaws here and there. But you know what? I’m pretty proud of it. It looks good, feels good, and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. Plus, I made it myself! That’s something, right?

And I heard that some folks are selling these remakes online, calling them “original order.” I even read a review comparing a remake to the original. If you don’t look too closely, you can’t even tell the difference. And I get it. These bags are expensive. If you can get the look for less, why not?

I also learned that YSL, or Saint Laurent, bags are a good investment. They hold their value, they say. So, if you got the cash and want a bag that will last, maybe the real thing is worth it. But for me, for now, my homemade version is just fine. I get the style without the crazy price tag.

So, that’s my story of remaking the YSL JUNE BOX BAG. It was a fun project, a real learning experience. And now, I have a new bag that I love. Not bad for a little DIY, huh?
